Linda earned both her Bachelor of Arts and her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Temple University in Philadelphia.
Linda has more than 25 years of extensive experience in the medical field. Working in a variety of settings as a Geriatric Care Manager and Psychotherapist, Linda became intimately familiar with the resources and services available to the elderly and adults with disabilities throughout New Jersey. In addition, her specialized certification as a Dementia Practitioner enables her to effectively serve those with cognitive impairments.
Linda is passionate about her work and is deeply committed to the needs of each and every client. Her broad-based working knowledge of the resources available in the community enables her to recommend long-term and short-term care facilities to match the needs of her clients. Her aim is always to set a plan in motion before a crisis occurs.
Prior to establishing Lotus Elder Care & Counseling, Linda worked for an elder care law firm where she developed a care management model and assisted clients in accessing needed resources. Her experience also includes 16 years in the hospice field where she educated health care professionals about the hospice philosophy, pain management, and psychosocial needs of the patient and family.
Well versed in the challenges facing an increasingly aging population and individuals with disabilities, Linda is an advocate who understands the healthcare system and the day-to-day challenges of clients and caregivers alike.
In addition to being a business owner and practitioner, Linda is a board member of the Tri-County Ethics Committee. She underwent specialized training from the New Jersey Ombudsman office in ethics consultations and previously offered her expertise during consultations at local long-term care centers.
Linda provides educational programs to communities on an array of relevant topics to help residents and families address ongoing concerns, such as Senior Bullying, Elderly Suicide, and Advanced Directives.
